Q: Will I have to pay a consultation fee?
A: We do not charge a consultation fee for personal injury, wrongful
death, oil rig injuries, product liability, insurance fraud and bad faith,
or bankruptcy.
Q: How do you charge for personal injury, wrongful death, oil rig injuries,
or other civil cases?
A: We generally work these types of cases on a contingency fee basis.
In other words, we work on a percentage of any money we recover for you.
If we do not recover for you, then you don’t pay. It’s that
simple. We fund the expenses in the case as well and only recover the
expenses if you recover.
Q: Do you represent any insurance companies?
A: Laird, Baker & Blackstock does not represent any insurance companies
and never will.
Q: What experience do you have litigating against large companies?
A: We have successfully sued some of the largest companies in the world,
including Ford Motor Company, Toyota, Lloyd’s of London, Transocean,
Diamond Offshore, Cliff’s Drilling, Pride Offshore, and Georgia
Pacific.
Q: I received a class action notice. What should I do with it?
A: It is usually a good idea to consult a lawyer. Many times your claim
could be worth more if you opt out of the class action and bring your
own individual case. But it depends on the circumstances and each case
is different.
