Wesley Laird
Wes Laird has been practicing law in Opp, Alabama for almost 22
years. He has successfully represented many paraplegics and quadriplegics,
victims of brain injury, and wrongful death victims over the years
against large trucking companies, automobile manufacturers, construction
companies, and oil companies .
Wes is a Sustaining Member of the Alabama Association for Justice,
serves on the Executive Committee of the Alabama Trial Lawyers
Association, and is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association.
He has been recognized as one of the Top One Hundred Trial Lawyers
in Alabama.
Wes Laird served as lead Class Counsel for Alabama City School
Boards in a class action case involving Sixteenth Section Trust
Funds that resulted in a $41 Million Settlement with the State
of Alabama.
Wes Laird serves his community as an industrial developer, city
attorney, city school board attorney, a member of the South Alabama
Regional Airport Board of Directors and a member of the Southern
Independent Bank Board of Directors.
Wes Laird brings diverse experience to the practice in personal
injury, insurance litigation, business, and real estate. He is
a regular keynote speaker and songwriter and musician who owns
