Wesley L. Laird serves on the Executive Committee
of the Alabama Trial Lawyers Association and is a member of the American
Trial Lawyers Association. He started his own firm in 1987 in Opp,
Alabama - the firm presently known as Laird, Baker & Blackstock,
LLC, Attorneys at Law. Mr. Laird concentrates in wrongful death, personal
injury, car wreck, insurance fraud and bad faith, and oil rig injury
cases. He grew up on his parents' farm in Florala, and graduated from
Florala High School and Lurleen B. Wallace Junior College before completing
his B.S. in Commerce and Business and his law degree at the University
of Alabama. |

David S. Baker is a member of the Alabama Trial
Lawyers Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, and the
National Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Mr. Baker, a native
of Texas, moved to Alabama in 1980, and graduated from Vestavia High
School in the suburbs of Birmingham. He attended Auburn University
and UAB for his bachelor degrees and graduated from Cumberland Law
School. Mr. Baker joined Wesley Laird in law practice in 1992. He
concentrates his practice in personal injury, contracts, criminal
law, divorce law, and custody matters. |
| Thomas Andrew Blackstock, Jr., or Andy as he
is known to his friends, joined Wesley Laird and David Baker in practice
in 1996. Mr. Blackstock concentrates in real estate deeds, closings,
and title opinions, bankruptcy, and probate matters such as wills,
estates, and guardianships/conservatorships. Mr. Blackstock also remains
active in settlement of real estate disputes and in the area of curing
bad title in real estate. Mr. Blackstock grew up on his parents' farm
near Opp and graduated from Opp High School. He earned a bachelors
degree and law degree from the University of Alabama. |

Toni Kinner, a recent addition to the Laird,
Baker & Blackstock team is licensed to practice in Florida. With
the addition of Toni, the firm can now provide services to the people
in the panhandle of Florida. |
