| What Better Time
Our wish for you this Christmas is that you
will experience the joy that only comes from knowing Jesus Christ.
He came to earth on that first Christmas Eve, born in a manger,
to a virgin. His birth was heralded by angels, by wise men, and
by shepherds.
In a few short years on this earth, He taught us how to live so
that we might know true joy. He taught us that it is not found
in material riches, but in giving of ourselves to help others.
When questioned by a lawyer on what God’s greatest commandment
is, Jesus replied to love God with all your heart. He then said
that the second greatest commandment is to love each other.
Jesus taught us that we are to care for the elderly, the oppressed,
and the downtrodden. That is our mission at Laird, Baker, and

America.
We live in a vastly different world than what we lived in a year
and a half ago. We now live in a world where our freedoms are
attacked and terrorized by a people who believe that they can
reach heaven by murdering the innocent. We live in a country where
corporate greed has given way to scandal and it is the employees
and small stockholders, and even small businesses that have suffered.
It would be easy in such a time to allow our hearts to turn bitter
and hard. But what better time to turn our hearts over to Christ.
